Diary 2006

5/12/06: RIP Franklin

Just over a year to the day I got my new ratties, Franklin was put to sleep this morning, he slipped away in my arms at the vets after a 3 day battle against some sort of infection that was stopping him breathing properly. Numerous vets visits and medicines had no effect, I couldn't watch him suffer any longer. He'd not eaten or slept and hardly drunk anything for 3 days. He leaves his brother Winston all alone in their big cage. :*( RIP my big squishy boy.

26/11/06: Memorabilia

I went along to the MEM show at the NEC to meet up with the Garrison guys and watch them in action to see what I'll be doing when my armour is built! I was astounded by the dedication, quality, and attention to detail of all the cosumes I saw - the stereotypical "Nerd/get a life" slurs that are so commonly linked to Sci-Fi events such as MEM were blown out the window - Garrison guys are definitely NOT your jamjar glasses-wearing TV geeks! I had a great day with them and can't wait to don the armour and join them :D

14/11/06: Trooping!

Well I've decided to go for it and buy a full set of Stormtrooper armour, from Authenticprops in America. It's made from .80 gauge ABS plastic and is due to arrive tomorrow, will need to be cut from the moulds and assembled. Can't wait!!!!

Once the armour is built then I submit photos of it and me wearing it to the UK Garrison, who then approve it as being acceptable, then give me clearance to go "Trooping" with them all over the country.

9/10/06: Here comes Halloween

I've bought myself an electric pumpkin carver and you can download tons of free patterns on the net. Also a promotional one I did for Fuzzbutt.co.uk.

Cool use of Stormtrooper helmet with LED lights ;o)

30/4/06: Australian Pink Floyd

If you are even the remotest FLOYD fan then go see these guys - I went to see them at the UEA and it was so good I almost peed myself. They played all of "Animals" plus most od Dark Side of the Moon. Top professional kit they had, plus an awesome light show. Brilliant musicians too, pure GUITAR PORN!!!
